He was predeceased by: his parents, Mearl Bixler and Dorothy Bixler (Kintzel); his parents-in-law, Jake and Ethel Smith; his brother Merlyn; and his sister-in-law Carlene Bixler.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Smith; his children, Jeffrey (Kim) of Incline Village, NV and Laura Henry (Matt); and his grandchildren, Tom, Samantha, Ryan Bixler, Alli and Jenna Henry.
