She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Houser and Hazel Houser (Darrah); her spouse Friel Mathews; her sons, Ron and Ralph; her parents-in-law, Ralph and Margaret Mathews; and her sisters, Lucille Mathews, Thelma Sparks, Bessie Mehrhoff, Verba Ross and Leolla Besse.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Renee Darner, Melissa Mathews of Loveland, CO, Jonathan Mathews (Rachel) of Centerville, IA, Sarah Zintz (Mike) of Centerville, IA, Spencer Mathews (Tracy) of Council Bluffs, IA, Sierra Mathews of Kalona, IA, Callie Welsh of Cedar Rapids, IA, Amy Welsh (Rob) of Glendale, AZ and Lisa Welsh of Cedar Rapids, IA; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Briana, Mathew, Merrick, Claire, Laney, Elizabeth, Emma, Sophie, Atticus, Ainsley, Chase, Avery, Amaya, Kylie and Many; her brother-in-law Keith Mathews (Debbie) of Unionville, MO; her niece Jeanie Nelson of Oklahoma City, OK; and her nephew Ken Mehrhoff of Centerville, IA.. She is also survived by Many nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law.
