He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ordean Gilbertson and Clara Cathleen Gilbertson (Clark); his daughter Brenda Sue; his wife Doris Jean (Barnes); and his sister Helen "Baby" Ruth.
He is survived by: his children, Shelley Gilbertson (Keith Long) of Dayton, IA. and Danny Gilbertson (Michele) of Jefferson; his grandchildren, Star, Robin, Robert Thoma (Bubba), Elizabeth, Cody and Sadie; and his brother-in-law Bob Barnes (Jean) of Atlantic. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home - Creston (601 New York Ave, Creston, IA 50801).
