It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilma Irene Wenck (Cherokee, Iowa), born in Sioux Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on November 5, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilford Hanson and Effie Hanson (Torkelson); her husband Kenneth Wenck; her siblings, Phyllis Coulter, Lois Hanson, Wayne Hanson and Julius Hanson; her grandson Michael Wenck; and also Roger.
She is survived by: her children, Kirk Wenck (Marlyce) of Danville, IN, Kent Wenck (Cheryle) of Cherokee, Michael Wenck of Cherokee, Patty Brown (Jeff) of Cherokee, Karen Aduddell (Kim) of Cherokee and Andrea Cook (Richard) of Cherokee; her grandchildren, Kallie Morrow (Dave), Kyle Wenck, Bryan Wenck, Matt Wenck (Tamara), Holly Bogue (Steve), Josh Wenck (Breanna), Kristen Simonsen (Matt), Carrie Smith (Mike), Lacy Healy (Jim), Chad Brown (Jillian), Haley Stomp (Robert), Luke Aduddell (Megan), Katherine Ward (Curtis) and Emily Hummel (Jakob); her brother Calvin Hanson (Dee) of Estes Park, CO; and her siblings-in-law, Roy Coulter of Loveland, CO and Ardyce Hanson of Newell, Iowa. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
The family asks memorials be directed to Cherokee Public Library.
