It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronnie Alfred Mesenbrink (Cherokee, Iowa), born in Castana, Iowa, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Mesenbrink and Agnes Mesenbrink (Siebold); his wife Teresa Mesenbrink; his brother Mike Mesenbrink; and his half-sister Dorothy Mesenbrink.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Mesenbrink (Amber) of Omaha, NE, Christina Mesenbrink of Lincoln, NE and Matthew Mesenbrink (Holly) of Lincoln, NE; his stepchildren, Lisa Blazek of Okoboji, IA, Tony Bennett (Ashley) of Sioux Falls, SD and Todd Bennett of Spirit Lake, IA; and his siblings, Pat Mesenbrink of Omaha, NE and Darlene Norman of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Church of Christ (772 N 2nd St, Cherokee, IA 51012). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (1601 W Main St, Cherokee, IA 51012).
