It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Dean Gowan of Cherokee, Iowa, born in Cleghorn, Iowa, who passed away on March 15, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Gowan and Lucile Gowan (Woodcock); his brother Walter Gowan (Lois); his nephew Jeff Gowan; and his sister-in-law Darlene Gowan.

He is survived by: his brother Donald Gowan; his niece Luann Olsen (Matt); his nephews, Jack Gowan (Ruth) and Doug Gowan (Marie); his great-nephews, Alen Gowan, Peter Olsen and Tom Olsen (Kelsie); and also, Eloise, Sylvia and Clyde. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
