She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Huffman and Mildred Huffman (Weathers); her daughter Lisa Gehrke; and her stepson Norman Needs. She is survived by: her husband Donald Gehrke of Cherokee, Iowa; her sons, David Gehrke of Spirit Lake, Randy Gehrke of Carroll and Tim Gehrke (Lynora) of Larrabee, Iowa; and her stepchildren, Darwin Needs (Lori) of LeMars, Robin Steffen (Rick) of Rifle and Cynthia Larson of Alta, Iowa. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Boothby Funeral Home (207 E Main St, Cherokee, IA 51012). A prayer was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
