He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Prell and Anna Prell (Wimmer); his mother-in-law Arlene Lamont; and his siblings, John Prell, Mary Prell, Nancy Prell, Raymond Prell, Paul Prell and Fred Prell.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Prell of Cherokee, IA; his brother Gary Prell of Rodney, IA; and his stepchildren, Heidi Hennen (Scott) of Redwood Falls, MN, Alan Skaggs of Chugiak, AK, Wendy Ellison (Tim) of Atlantic, IA and Kyle Skaggs (Megan) of Chugiak, AK. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greenwood Schubert Funeral Home - Cherokee (216 S 2nd St, Cherokee, IA 51012). A burial will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
