He is survived by: his former wife Darlene Nelson; his children, Doug Briggs (Kay) of Marcus, Iowa and Deb Sleezer (Warren) of LasVegas, Nevada; and his siblings, Jackie Letsche (Charles) of Cherokee, Iowa and Dale "Bud" Briggs of Calumet. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
