He is survived by: his uncle Steve Benda; and his nieces and nephews, Jeanne Bornemann (Mark) of Marion, Barbara Ann Malina of Cedar Rapids, Mike Malina of Lincoln, NE, Cecelia "Sid" Jedlicka (Robert) of Chelsea and John Malina of Griswold.
