He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Ryan and Adra Ryan (Metz); his wife Evelyn Ryan; his daughter Laurie Weiermann; and his sister Eloise Krumm (John).
He is survived by: his children, Susan Smith (Randy) of Chelsea, Pat Ryan (Taddi) of Toledo, Kevin Ryan (Susie) of Chelsea and Matt Ryan (Christina) of Ankeny; and his son-in-law Don Weiermann (Nancy Dvorak) of Chelsea. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
