With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leonard L Balvin of Chelsea, Iowa, who passed away on August 20, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Balvin and Emma Balvin (Drahos); his sons, Steve and Joe; his grandchildren, Tianna Purk, Joseph Jr. Balvin and Erik Upah; and his siblings, Wilma Malina, Evelyn Zmolek and Allen Balvin.
He is survived by: his wife Florence Balvin (Chelsea); his children, Larry (Janet) of Chelsea, Randy (Diane) of Hartwick, Jerry (Val) of Chelsea, Dan of Belle Plaine, Jason (Kelly) of Chelsea, Aaron (Melissa) of Chelsea, Ellen Upah (Tom) of Chelsea, Jamie Kupka (Paul) of Chelsea and Sally Slaven (Steve) of Chelsea; and his daughter-in-law Colleen Balvin of Elberon. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
