He was predeceased by: his parents, August Ohlen and Mae Ohlen (Houser); his wife Georgetta; his son Dennis; and his siblings, Loran, Lawrence Ohlen and Fern Williams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Due to the current pandemic, there will be a private family burial Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, IA.
