She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur DeFrance and Fern DeFrance (Lowry); her husband Dennis N. Murty; her children, Darla Murty and Randy Murty; her granddaughter Shelly Culbertson-Thomazin; and her brother Dale DeFrance (Ivey).
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Murty (Debbi) of Tama, Rene Thompson (Chuck) of Tama, Janet Manatt (Alan) of Tama, Denise Murty of Laquey, MO and Dave Murty of Chelsea; her siblings, Larry DeFrance (Betty Long) of Marshalltown and Deb Anderson of Marshalltown; and her daughter-in-law Stacey Murty of Malcom. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund will be established.
