With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Jean Pirwitz (Charter Oak, Iowa), who passed away on September 10, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Groth and Louise Groth (Wulf); her husband Darlo Pirwitz; her son Dennis Pirwitz; her siblings, Wilbert Groth (Donna), Milroy Groth, Vertus Groth, Darlene Jensen (Arlo) and Irene Meiners (Herman); and her brothers-in-law, Paul Meeves and Gene Schneider.

She is survived by: her granddaughters, Karen and Kay; her daughters, Karen Mohr (Eugene) of Vail and Kay Domsch (Carl) of Wakefield, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Justin Mohr (Sara), Ryan Mohr (Emily), Maritza Slaughter (Ryan) and Rosina Pirwitz (Brian Huynh); her stepgrandson Oscar Loya (Toccara) of Bellevue, Nebraska; her great grandchildren, Hayden, Kaison Slaughter and Callahan Mohr; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Dohnaven, Rosaria and Maxwell Loya; her sisters, Betty Meeves of Dunlap and Margaret Moeller (Ervin) of Denison; her sisters-in-law, Lorraine Groth of Denison, Marlys Groth of Denison and Marlene Schneider (Groth) of Denison; and her friend Bonita Jepsen of Charter Oak. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
