We are sad to announce that on November 6, 2023, at the age of 76, Julie Strait of Charter Oak, Iowa, born in Ute, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Julie Strait to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Kortman and Burnita Kortman (Nielson); her brother John Kortman; her in-laws, Lawrence Strait (Ruth), Mary Ann Sorensen and George Starcevic (Muriel); and also, Anna Strait Jensen, Dow Strait and John Jensen.
She is survived by: her husband Loren Strait of Charter Oak; her sons, Bradley Strait (Erin) of Spring Hill, Kansas, Brian Strait (Carrie) of Joplin, Missouri and Christopher Strait (Christy) of Sioux City; her grandchildren, Alexander, Isaac, Colin, Jillian, Kellen Strait, Raylee, Hunter and Owen Gamble; her sister Judith Cloeter of Michigan; and her brother-in-law Ronald Sorensen of Omaha.
Julie's family respectfully requests that gifts be in the form of memorial donations which will be directed to the University of Nebraska Cancer Research Center and the Charter Oak Library.
