We bid farewell to Jackie Kohnekamp (Charter Oak, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Jackie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mitchell and Muriel Mitchell (Points); her husbands, Walter Boland and Jerry Kohnekamp; her sons, David Boland and Brian Boland; her grandson Derek Johannsen; and her siblings, Irene Forrester, Dorothy Norton, Mary Donahoo, Mildred Daggett, Carol Lyons, Joe Mitchell and John Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Allan Boland (Kathy) of Omaha and Julia Reddick (Hoss) of Charter Oak; her daughter-in-law Susan Boland of Schleswig; and her grandchildren, Brian Boland Jr. (Misty), Scott Reddick (Nicole), Nathan Reddick (Mandy), Chad Reddick (Shawna), Ian Boland, Sara Boland, David Boland Jr., Alicia Boland, Jessica Reiter (Jon), Jerrod Johannsen (Talsha) of Schleswig and Jacob Boland (Shazette). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
A prayer was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (156 Main St, Charter Oak, IA 51439). Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (104 Birch St, Charter Oak, IA 51439).
