He is survived by: his mother Marilyn Pirwitz (Groth) of Charter Oak; his former spouse Guadalupe Vejar; his daughters, Maritza Slaughter (Ryan) of Waterloo and Rosina Pirwitz of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandsons, Hayden Bennett Slaughter and Kaison Christopher Slaughter; his stepsons, Oscar Loya (Tocarra) of Bellevue and John Loya (Cybill); his sisters, Karen Mohr (Eugene) of Vail and Kay Domsch (Carl) of Wakefield, Nebraska; his nephews, Ryan Mohr of Vail and Justin Mohr (Sara) of Grimes; and his great-nephew Callahan Mohr. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
