It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Joseph Costello of Charlotte, Iowa, who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Valerie Joseph and Ella Theresa Costello (O'Brien); his wife Evelyn Banowetz of Sugar Creek; and his brothers, Michael, Gilbert and Paul.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Costello of Charlotte, Diana Costello (Ed Kasemodel) of Grand Mound, Karen Watters (Brian) of Maquoketa, Arlene Lyon (Michael) of Maquoketa, Laurine Gruhn (Jeff) of Sabula, Louann Reuter of Maquoketa, Dale Costello (Lynn) of Clifton Park, NY and Lois Zabrocky (Frank) of Connecticut; and his siblings, Marie Leenknecht of Moline, Ilene Murray of Santa Clarita, John Costello (Lori) of Hollister, Ralph Costello (Fern) of Plymouth and Donald Costello (Ruth) of Bolingbrook, Illinois.. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
