He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair LaBarr and Josephine LaBarr (Christiansen); his former wife Georgene Schrader; his wife Dixie Waters; his daughter Lori; and his brother Phillip.
He is survived by: his children, David S. LaBarr Jr. (Genelle) of Charlotte and Julie Jurgess of Clinton. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
