He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Hauen and Leona Van Hauen (Weinberg); his son Dean; and his brothers, Bill and Bob Van Hauen.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hector of Charles City; his son Dennie Van Hauen (Teresa) of Charles City; his granddaughters, Desirae Van Hauen (Dalton Reddel) of Riceville and Shantel Van Hauen of Charles City; and his sister Janice Tibbits (Bill) of Taylor, Wisconsin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
