It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valentina Ewen (Charles City, Iowa), who passed away on November 29, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Robert Franklin; her children, Dian Hauenstein (John), Linda Wandro (Mike), Douglas Paul Ewen (Caroline) and Joan Merrill; her grandsons, John (Steffany), Josef, Jacob Hauenstein (Elizabeth) and Brian Mitchell (Shannon); her great grandchildren, Zachary, Andrew, Jacob Mitchell, Maleah, Gabriel Johnson, Isabella and John Alexander Hauenstein; her close friend Bernice Toepfer; her grandson Matthew Mitchell; her father Brian Shepley; and also Bobby Merrill. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
