He was predeceased by: his parents, Bainbridge Leavens and Ruth Leavens (Boers); his wife Phyllis Leavens; his daughter-in-law CeCe Leavens; his granddaughter Suzanne Lantow; his great grandchild Sophie Meier; and his brother Duane Eugene Leavens.
He is survived by: his children, Phyllis, Sandra Lantow (James) of Ionia, Alan Leavens (late CeCe) of Cedar Falls, Susan Zwanziger (James) of Nashua and Bob Leavens (Joanne) of Brownsburg, IN; and his grandchildren, Rachael Lind, Steve Lantow, Christopher Leavens, Daniel Leavens, Mark Leavens, Nicholas Leavens, Tracy Kroeger and Jamie Zwanziger.
