He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Clapp and Lucille Clapp (Beckwith); his parents-in-law, Ruie and Voncile Danley; his grandmother Mary Beckwith; his brother-in-law James Danley; his son-in-law Morty David; his nephew Dwight Danley, Jr.; his cousin Mary Lou McCauley; and his friend Naomi Winterink.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Danley; his sister Carol Caneff (Jay); his children, Susan Ferlanti (Lou), Vernon Clapp (Tracy), Mary Elin (Craig), Bertha Bertling (Mark) and Kevin Clapp (Tonya); his grandchildren, Sonja, Linda, Dustin, Natalie, Kayla, Christina, Ashley, Allison, Melissa, Elizabeth, Jessica, David and Joshua; and his close friend Bob Winterink.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gospel Lighthouse Church (201 Madison St, Floyd, IA 50435). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (59 Riverside Ave, Charles City, IA 50616).
