He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eggena and Gertrude Eggena (Hayungs); his father-in-law Edward Field; and his siblings, Judy Eliasen, Ellen Paulus and James Eggena.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Eggena (Field); his children, John Eggena (Jenn) of Greene, Emily King (Kyle) of Charles City and Sarah Flanders (Shawn) of Cedar Falls; his sisters, Liz Brooks of Charles City and Linda Carroll (Mike) of Parkersburg; his grandchildren, Lily, Henry, Loren, Leroy, Ervin Eggena, Natalie, Madalynne King, Nolan Pruisner, Mack and Beau Flanders; and his mother-in-law Beverly Mathers (Terry).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home (1205 S Main St, Charles City, IA 50616).
