She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray and Hilda (Schernbeck); her brother Herman Swink; and her sister-in-law Sharon Swink. She is survived by: her husband Leon McDermott; her children, John McDermott (Karen) of Eau Claire, Pauline Scheidecker (Robert) of Clarksville, Joan Julius (Steve) of Barnum and Bill McDermott (Cindy) of Ankeny; her grandchildren, David McDermott (Mandy), Scott McDermott, Jacob McDermott, Steven Scheidecker (Kali), Amy Cameron (Jason), Tim Olejniczak, Ben McDermott and Emily McDermott; and her great grandchildren, Grant, Austin, Weston, Lincoln Scheidecker, Blake and Bryce Cameron.

Memorials will be directed by family.
