She was predeceased by: her parents, George James and Marjorie Mae Gabel (Hull); her husband Kenneth Edward Schmitt; and her brother John Gabel (Carol). She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Mae; her close friends, Michele Hubka and Jennifer Wilson (Jon); and her siblings, Frank Gabel (Carol), Tom Gabel and Liz Gabel. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be given to a charity of your choice in memory of Fran.
