It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Fredrick Norris of Chariton, Iowa, who passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Norris and Opal Norris (Jones); his wife Jeannie; his son Clinton Allen; his grandson Thomas David; his siblings, Helen Wolfe, Velma Eilders, Mary Kuhfus, Carol Zimmermane, Robert Norris, Larry Norris, Martha Green and Kaye Easton; and his daughter-in-law Brenda Norris.
He is survived by: his sons, Tommy Gene (Cheryl), Clayton Eric (Tina) and William Joseph (Wendy); his grandchildren, Jamie Patterson (Donnie), Wendi Norris (Aaron), Rusty Norris (Stephanie), Brittany Hala (Wesley), Tiffany Norris (Eric), Brett Norris and Joni Burton; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Brody, Izabelle, Scout, Jeb, Gabe, Macie, Eric, Hazel, Mackenzie and Brianna; his great great grandchild Aloy; and his sister Sherry Peters.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chariton Cemetery (901 S Main St, Chariton, IA 50049).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Care Initiatives in Chariton or Care Initiatives Hospice in Albia.
