He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Arlan DeZwarte (Susan), Jayne DeZwarte, Ryal Bachman and Dwight Bachman (Amanda); his grandchildren, Rob King (Joni), Chareal DeZwarte Swarthout, Zebulan DeZwarte, Clayton Bachman, Bethany Bachman, John Bachman, Kari Pollitt (Jesse), Kyle McGee (Kristi) and Scott McGee (Jewel); his great grandchildren, Drew Swarthout, Waylan McCurdy, Courteney McCurdy, Camden McCurdy, Jessalyn Pollitt, Kassidy Pollitt, Ivy Pollitt, Cael Pollitt, Elijah McGee and Karson McGee; his son-in-law Rick King; and his sister-in-law Pat Jessup.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
