It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Lessig Pollit (Chariton, Iowa), born in Amelia, Ohio, who passed away on December 19, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Morris Pollitt and Pauline Pim Pollitt; his wife Doris Marker; his brother Frank; and his brother-in-law J. B. Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy Mitchell (Greg), Bradley (Danette) and Craig (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Amanda Mitchell of Des Moines, Whitney, Brianna Pollitt of Sedalia, Ryan Mitchell of Des Moines, Kevin Shively of Shelbyville, Jesse Pollitt (Kari) of Russell and Michael Pollitt (Lauren) of Lucas; his great grandchildren, Isabel, Charlotte Jauregui, Jessalyn, Kassidy and Abbi Pollitt; his sister Patricia Evans of Chariton; and his sister-in-law Janette Pollitt of Belmond.
