With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merlon Russell Jackson Jr. of Chariton, Iowa, who passed away on October 22, 2023 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merlon Jackson and Mary Fyrn Jackson (Caylor); his siblings, Betty Salcedo Roseney (Frank), Teressa Lynch (Richard) and Craig Jackson (Barbara); his friend Arla Clay; and his nephew Luc Richard Lynch.

To honor Merlon's memory, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, guests bring a new basketball or alarm clock to be donated to Toys for Tots. A box will be available at the funeral home to receive those generous donations.
