She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Edward Shovlain Sr. and Margaret Ursula Coady Shovlain; her husband James Robert Phelan; and her brothers, Francis Benedict (Tony) and Hugh Edward Shovlain Junior (Sam).
She is survived by: her sons, James Edward (Vicki) and Joseph Michael; her caregivers, Rose Forjan and Elaine Cato; her niece Linda; her brother Paul Joseph Shovlain; her son Joe (Julie); and her grandchildren, Alyssa Renee Phelan and Sean Michael Phelan.
