He was predeceased by: his mother Bessie Runnells (Brown); his brother Richard "Buzz" Runnells; his daughter Terry Runnells Wilke; his sons-in-law, David Stern, George Rebol and Randy Metzger; his granddaughter Stacy Routh; his grandson-in-law Mark Sanders; and his great grandchild Charlie Hornback.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Anderson; his children, Rhonda Strife, Sandra Stern, Becky Runnells and Richard Runnells (Jo); his grandchildren, Kimberly Sanders, Randee Lynn Wilke, Shanna Amos (Casey), Brian Strife, Joshua Strife, Randy Joe Metzger (Abbey), Ryan Metzger (Stacey), Jason Rebol (Jessica), Eric Runnells (Rachel), Matt Rebol-Runnells (Megan), Jennifer Hornback (Mark), Amanda Buckingham (Justin) and Richie Runnells (Dakota); his great grandchildren, Cody (Nicole), Kylie (Zeb), Kelsie, Aurora, Dillon, Dalton (Cheyenne), Trinity (Chance), Jacqueline, Jaden, Aubrey, Madi, Brennan, Amiya, Luca Jack, Jonah, Evelyn, Nora, Jack Eugene, Harlie, Hunter, Jasmine, Ethan, Alexander, Lydia, Henry, Colin and Cadin; his great great grandchildren, Damon, Slevin, Madilyn, Raelynn, Everleigh and Ensleigh; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Runnells, Don Anderson (Joyce) and Larry McKnight.
