He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Brown and Bonnie Brown Jr. (Morton); his brother-in-law Darrell Riggs; his siblings, Linda Brown Riggs and Butch Brown; and his brother-in-law Billy Hogue.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Brown of Chariton; his daughters, Stacy Vinsick (Carlton) of Indianola, Karen Thomas (Jeff) of Chariton and Stephanie Brown of Chariton; his grandchildren, Makayla, Elexa, Emmy Vinsick, Taylan and Tucker Thomas; and his siblings, Charlie Brown (Dee), Carolyn Hogue of Chariton and Mary Collins (Greg) of Chariton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephew, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fielding Funeral Home (227 S Grand St, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Chariton Cemetery (901 Main St, Chariton, IA 50049).
A memorial has been established to the family's choice and contributions can be left at or mailed to the Fielding Funeral Home.
