She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Marnell and Mary Marnell (Knochel); and her nephew Korey Baker. She is survived by: her husband Mark Thompson; her son Jason of Ohio; her grandchildren, Hannah and Alex Kendall; her sisters, Donna Baker (Gordon) of Newton and LuAnn Lucas (Greg) of Newton; and her sister-in-law Jennifer Gray of Knoxville.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bybee & Davis Funeral Home (301 N 2nd St, Knoxville, IA 50138). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.
