She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Forbes and Gladys Forbes (Scott); her husband Edward Criswell; and her siblings, Marguerite Persels (Gerald), Leo Forbes (Doris), Mildred Peppmeier (Lloyd) and Kenneth Forbes.
She is survived by: her brother Corky Forbes (Linda) of Oregon; her children, Dan Wetzel (Susan) of Shenandoah, Denny Wetzel (Judy) of Ames, Deena McSparen (Randy) of Russell, David Murdock (Cindy) of Milan and Donovan Murdock (Don Murdock) of Chariton; and her sister-in-law Charlotte Forbes. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Chariton Christian Church – Disciples of Christ in Chariton, Iowa.
