Connie Lee Loyd Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2025, at the age of 84, Connie Lee Loyd of Chariton, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Byers and Ina Fern Byers; her husband Allen Keith Loyd; and her siblings, Robert Byers, Thelma Stevenson, Donna Jean Lee, Carol Ann Becker and Roger Byers.
She is survived by: her son Allen Loyd (Sharon) of Martensdale, IA; her grandchildren, Courtney Stanley (Chad), Tanner Loyd (Abbie), Sheena Bedford (Chris) and Dustin Loyd (Sammi); her daughter Marcia Voorhees (Stephen) of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Justin Voorhees (Amy), Jason Voorhees (Marci), Tamara Voorhees and Stephen Voorhees; her great grandchildren, Lincoln Stanley, Makenna Loyd, Hadley Loyd, Hayden Loyd, Chloe Bedford, Chase, Gavin, Noah, Teagan, Elouise and Xavier Voorhees; and her brothers, Verne Byers (Arlene), Arlen Byers (Shirley) and James Byers (Donna). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Columbia Cemetery (2442 103rd Ave, Columbia, IA 50057).
Memorials may be made to the Columbia Fire and Rescue, Wounded Warriors, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
