We bid farewell to Cody Carpenter of Chariton, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 4, 2025 at the age of 33. Cody touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Rose Carpenter, Galen Fry, Angie and Don Cox. He is survived by: his wife Erin Carpenter; his parents, Rhonda (Jake Matthews) and Tom (Maggie Carpenter); his grandfather Bill Carpenter; his siblings, Cassandra Gregg (Michael), Zach Sobek, Shantie Chance and Dane Chance; his parents-in-law, Mary and Stephen Cracker; his sister-in-law Emily Griffith (Chris); and his nieces and nephews, Parker, Eisley, Raina, Oliver, Tanner, Theo and Adley. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pierschbacher Funeral Homes - Chariton (914 Roland Ave, Chariton, IA 50049). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in care of Cody's wife, Erin.
