He is survived by: his mother Evelyn Strait (Proffitt) of Marion; his children, Nick Strait of Coggon, Iowa and Megan Strait (Ryan Hepker) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his brother John Strait of Illinois; his grandchildren, Alexis and Caden; his nieces and nephews, Kyle, Jared, Derek Strait, Emily and Heather Strait; and his former spouse Jackie Strait of Marion.
