He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ricklefs and Velma Ricklefs (Sweet); his wife Anna Faye Ricklefs; and his brothers, Gayland Ricklefs and Richard Ricklefs.
He is survived by: his son David Ricklefs (Janice) of Iowa City; his granddaughters, Kristin Greathouse (Joe) of North Liberty and Kathy Christianson (Kyle) of Otsego, Minnesota; and his great grandchildren, Allison Greathouse, Emily Greathouse and Taylor Christianson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Delbert's memory may be directed to the United Church of Christ in Central City, American Legion Wapsie Post #421 in Central City, or the Central City Congregate Meals.
