It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Rickels of Central City, Iowa, born in Monticello, Iowa, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Dose and Glendola Dose (Emerson-Clary); and her brother Robert "Bobby" Dose. She is survived by: her children, Jenny Rickels, Whitney Port (Emilie), Kevin Port (Rhonda) and Andrew Palmer (Erika); her grandchildren, Madison, Liz, Andy, Jamie, Dustin and Shawn; her brother Henry Dose (Gloria); her pet Lily; her former spouse Merle Rickels; and her husband Maurice Port.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
