He is survived by: his wife Dyann Bethune of Centerville, Iowa; his mother Gwen Garr of Fremont, Iowa; his son Joshua Bethune of Des Moines, Iowa; his stepchildren, Aaron Rafferty of Oxford and Sarah Rafferty of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Sarah Davis Spiker, Maxwell Hayes and Carter Myers; and his siblings, Samuel Bethune (Sharon) of Lincoln, Steve Bethune (Arlene) of Denver, Sandy Eckley of Fremont, Scott Bethune (Beverly) of Ottumwa, Sue Tonderum (Aaron) of Kelley, Sherri Navratil (Loren) of Ankeny, Shannon Bethune (Mary) of Fremont and Christina Garr-Kime of Fremont, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces.
