He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Phelps and Sharon Phelps (Barrell); his grandparents, Elmer, Isal Phelps, Robert and Velta Barrell; his parents-in-law, Phyllis and Jesse D. Knowles; his brother-in-law Mike Knowles; and his niece Brittany Zemo.
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Knowles; his children, Amanda Kury (Matthew Spegal) and Kiera Phelps (Elias); his grandchildren, Vinny Kury and Vanessa Kury; his brother Michael Phelps (Stephanie); his niece Sammi Ruckman (Ricky); his nephew Mikey Phelps (Ashtyn); and his sister-in-law Sheryl Harlan.
