She was predeceased by: her parents, Flavy Lawson and Verna Lawson (Small); her in-laws, Rufus and Evelyn Tompkins; her brother Dwight Lawson; her sister-in-law Carolyn Lawson; her daughter Angela Ottesen; her son-in-law Kevin Ottesen; her nephew Mike Lawson; her grandson-in-law Josh Johnson; her siblings-in-law, Gene, Guy Tompkins and Mavis Lambert; and her granddaughter Amanda Spurgeon.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Tompkins; her daughters, Robin Spurgeon (Brad) and DeAnn Torres (Felix); her brother DeWayne Lawson (Sheryl); and her brother-in-law Richard Tompkins (Dorothy). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas Funeral Home-Centerville (501 N 18th St, Centerville, IA 52544). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
