He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Shiltz and Essie Shiltz (White); his brothers, Carroll, Mark, Charlie and Mardel; his daughter Kim Shiltz; and his granddaughter Chasity Shiltz.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn of Centerville; his children, Mark Shiltz of Centerville, Candy Aldred of Centerville and Debbie Lee (Jeff) of Centerville; his grandchildren, Josh Costa (Alvino) of West Liberty, IA, Travis Shiltz (Jenna Eason) of Atalissa, IA, Kelsey Boone of Centerville, Kylie Boone (Josh Barber) of Centerville, Taylor Lee of Novinger, MO, Garrett Lee (Heaven Ingram) of Centerville and Kaylee Sharer of Udell, IA.; his great grandchildren, Kaison Schwering, Taylor Eason, Paxton Shiltz and Rhett Shiltz; and his siblings, Roger Shiltz (Connie) of Plano, Loren Shiltz of Centerville and Lou Ohrt (Calvin) of Moravia, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in the name of Marilyn Shiltz to go towards a memorial bench to be placed at the Welcome Home Soldier Monument in Albia, Iowa.
