He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Edward and Doris Jean Ervin (Phillips); and his sister Linda Swan. He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Cortesio; his children, Kerri Salevsky (Steve), Jacob Ervin (Angela Shinn) and David Ervin (Kayla Engle); his grandchildren, Zackary Salevsky, Brandon Salevsky, Nicholas Salevsky (Natalie Thomas), Cheyenne Howington (Billy), Dalton Ervin (Madison Furnish), Jaxon Ervin, Becca Roberts, Chrystal Albertson, Marshall Albertson, Kjirsten Albertson and Lincoln Albertson; his sisters, Deb Hastings (Don) and Kathy Cossolotto (Carlo); his brother-in-law Gene Swan; his nephew Michael Cossolotto; and his close friends, Donnie Cossolotto, David Ervin and Gary Hull.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home-Centerville (501 N 18th St, Centerville, IA 52544). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
