It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David James McGill of Centerville, Iowa, who passed away on December 10, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton McGill and Dorotha Katherine McGill (Burgin); his sister Janet Anderson; and his son-in-law Paul Berner. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McGill; his children, Debbie Thomas (Dale), Cathy Berner, Marilyn McVey (Brad), Andrew McGill (Janet), James McGill (Carla), Tim McGill (Stephanie) and Jerry McGill; and his brothers, Mickal McGill (Edith) and Steve McGill.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home-Centerville (501 N 18th St, Centerville, IA 52544). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (603 W State St, Centerville, IA 52544).
