David Godby Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Godby of Centerville, Iowa, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 6, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Godby and Robert Otto Godby; his wife Helen Godby; and his siblings, Robert O. Godby Jr., Daniel Anton Godby and Irene Ruth Spruill (Howard).
He is survived by: his friend Bonaparte; his children, Cheree Mann (Dennis), Denise McDanel, David Godby Jr. (Judy) and Mike Godby (Becky); and his siblings, Paul Godby (Pam) and Martha Allred (Ed). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Unionville American Legion or EveryStep Hospice.
