He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Benton and Ann McGuire (Cortesio); and his pet Jazzy. He is survived by: his wife Marla Benton; his children, Brittney Smith (Jake) and Matthew Benton; his grandson Mason Smith; his pet Cocoa; his siblings, Linda Hilpl (Carl), Karen Wells (Rick), Randy Benton, Marty Benton, Janet Benton and Steven Senior; his pet Jax; and also Juanita. He is also survived by his marriage to their mother didn't last, mutual respect for one another did, and they worked together to raise their children.
