He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Groves and Cleta Mae Groves (Poole); and his siblings, Faye Ogelsby, Bill Ed Moore, Keith Groves and Roger Poole.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Mudd of Clarksville, Russell Phillips, Bradley Phillips of Madisonville and Joesph Phillips of Norfolk, Virginia; his siblings, Brenda Heflin (Bobby), Pamela Groves of Madisonville, Kentucky and Michael Moore (Melinda) of Earlington, Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Shanise, Colin, Dominique, Samantha, Niyah, Andrea, Victoria, Alexus, Nevaeh, Paisley and Xavier.
